Cold pressed juices retain 100% of the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables unlike normal blended juices.

Drinking juice is an excellent way to get your servings of fruits and vegetables each day. There is a difference between cold press juice vs normal juice though. Cold press juices contain more nutritional elements than normal juices. The main reason for this is the insoluble fiber is broken up more to release those nutrients from the fruits and vegetables.

I researched and wrote this article because a young entrepreneur in the little Mexican town where I live started a cold pressed juice company and delivers to my house two or three times a week. It’s a beautiful thing.

How Normal Fresh Squeezed Juices are Made

The fresh squeezed juices you may have been drinking for years are made much differently than cold pressed juices. Normal juices that are freshly squeezed are made with a centrifugal juicer. Those juicers have a blade that spins quite fast. The speed of the blade does an excellent job of extracting the juices from fruits and vegetables.

The heat from the blade breaks down the nutritional elements and enzymes though. And the speed from that same blade creates extra air. That air oxidizes the juice. The extra oxidation breaks down the nutrients in the juice even more.

Yes, normal freshly squeezed juice is delicious. However, it is not filled with as many nutrients as cold pressed juices.

How Cold Press Juices are Made

All cold pressed juices are made using a juicer that has a hydraulic press. They work to slowly pulverize all the fruits and vegetables. There is no heat or speed involved. Therefore, all the vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and enzymes from the produce stays in the cold press juice.

When you choose cold press juices, you will never find any additional preservatives or additives in the ingredient list.
